Pearl Street Grill & Brewery
76 Pearl Street
Buffalo, NY 14202

Join local journalists and Martin Davison Public Relations to find out what the media really think of PR pros. From the key ingredients of a great pitch, to frequency for calls and follow-up, hear pointers for maintaining a positive rapport with media straight from the source — and the sources.

Presenters from MDPR from will assess the current media market, discuss what makes a story newsworthy and share candid feedback they’ve received from reporters. Attendees will then rotate between tables to meet media guests and learn best practices for managing relationships with area news outlets.

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a breakfast buffet, including scrambled eggs, stuffed French toast, sausage, bacon, home fries and bagels. The presentation will begin at 8 a.m., followed by media “speed dating” from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

Representatives from regional media will be in attendance, including the following individuals:

  • Brian Meyer, news director, WBFO
  • Marissa Perlman, reporter, WIVB
  • Mike Petro, editor, The Hamburg Sun
  • Jeff Rusack, reporter, WKBW
  • Scott Scanlon, WNY Refresh editor, The Buffalo News
